Revisitng "The List"

Mostly this is a repost of my blog "The List" from a year ago, but I've added a few items.

There usually comes up some discussion where people have what they call their list or their so called rules to live by. This isn't like their religion or their laws, but general items or techniques or even some sort of deep inner code they use in their existence with the rest of us.

I don't have a set list myself but I know there are certain things that just click with me. Here is some items from what I could call my "list".

1. Never reveal everything because people like surprises and new stuff.
2. The needs of the many outweight the needs of the few or the one unless you are getting reamed. (KHAN!)
3. A moment of silence is a moment to say something really different.
4. There are times in life where it is just right and cool to not give a sh*t.
5. It benefits yourself when you can do something to benefit someone else.
6. Advancement happens when you get off your butt and do it your damn self.
7. Two words that should go together: positive criticism.
8. Stay in touch!
9. It is good to find qualities in someone else as long as you stay yourself.
10. If chocolate does not fix it, try peanut butter.
11. If you have the free time, expand your horizons with new stuff to do.
12. Know your priorities.
13. You would think I would say know your limits but here I'll say EXPAND your limits.
14. Leave them thinking. Guessing too when applicable.
15. A change of scenery is always good. Road Trips rule!
16. Be yourself. As my sister D says "Why be normal?" Do not conform!
17. Listen Look React Think Think Think.
18. Don't take anything too seriously.
19. Remember NOBODY IS PERFECT, including YOU.
20. Always have me time.
21. The most important thing to what you get out of life is what you put in it.
22. Although the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one; it is still important to do what you can for the few and eventually the many.
23. It is important not to dwell so much on the intellectual stuff without just seeing the art in it all.
24. Find your own high road.
25. Take time to see things - As Leonardo Da Vinci said "All knowledge begins with perception."
